Well guys, after giving it some thinking finally found how to be able to use sport mode on base lancers with CVT. this is a crude way but i want to test it and then ill do it using 3 micro switches so it gets into sport mode when you pull the shifter left instead of having to toggle a switch.
First you need to find the TCM wich is the computer that controls the cvt trans axle. it is located to the left of the brake pedal base an looks like this.
There are two plugs in there, the lower one is C-40 and the top one is C-41, we only be using the lower one (c-40)
you need to cut the red/black cable wich when grounded enters sport mode the pink which when grounded shifts down and the white which shifts up when grounded.
here's a diagram for better understanding
Then cut the T shape on the assembly i bent 2 pieces of sheet metal in L to make the contacts for the shift cables also had to ground the shift lever so it applies ground when it touches the contacts...
I put the white in the back cause i wanted it to shift up when i pull it, and down when i push it, if you want it as normal just reverse the white and pink "terminals" on the shifter
then i wired the red/black to a toggle switch which grounds it when closed, you need to put the car in D, Pull the shifter Left and throw the switch and it goes into sport mode, if you want it back in D just trow off the switch and push the shifter to the right to normal D.
later im going to try and put some micro switches inside the shift assembly so it will work as stock (no need to toggle a switch).. i drove the car around and it works.
it doesn't look to pretty but its a start.
heres the vid, sorry for the shaky cam but i was steering, holding the camera and shifting ::woot
